The design of Zimbra’s triangular structure was influenced by the space frame construction seen in cranes and electricity pylons. It is configured in a way that makes it both physically strong and visually dynamic. The seat uses two scalene triangles in a trapezoid shape to form an ergonomic ‘bucket’ to sit on. An additional feature is the small hook under the seat – designed for holding handbags and jackets when the stool is used in public areas.
This unique design was selected to be featured in the Wire Magazine.
